In this webinar, presenters will explore the three federal definitions of homelessness that exist across federal statutes, including those used by programs administered by the U.S. Department of Education, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, and the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. The webinar will highlight the NCHE resource Understanding and Navigating Federal Definitions of Homelessness issue brief. By attending this webinar, participants will:

  • Learn how relevant school and community partners can apply knowledge of federal definitions of homelessness in their daily work to support children and youth experiencing homelessness.
