Title I, Part A, of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act, as amended by the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA), provides financial assistance through SEAs to LEAs and schools with high numbers or high percentages of low-income children to help ensure that all children meet challenging state academic standards. Title I, Part A includes specific requirements for collaboration with McKinney-Vento programs to serve homeless children and youth.
