McKinney-Vento Eligibility Determinations: Understanding Doubled-Up Living Arrangements (Part I of Two-Part Webinar Series)

Who should attend: This webinar is designed for local homeless education liaisons and state coordinators.
Webinar objectives: By attending this 90-minute session, participants will:
- Apply the definition of homelessness under Subtitle VII-B of the McKinney-Vento Act to determine if doubled-up living arrangements meet eligibility criteria,
- Utilize strategic questioning techniques to gather information necessary for eligibility determinations,
- Navigate complex scenarios involving doubled-up living arrangements,
- Document eligibility decisions using statutory language, guidance, and case-specific factors.

The NCHE Quarterly Resource Roundup is a curated collection of the latest resources, publications, webinar recordings, and news in the field of homeless education. Each edition highlights recent editions to the NCHE website and other resources of interest to state coordinators, local liaisons, and partners supporting children and youth experiencing homelessness. New editions are released each quarter and distributed through the NCHE listserv.
